KHTK drops Don Geronimo

Thank goodness. I had really started to enjoy listening to sportstalk during my lunch break back during the whole recent Kings drama. Then one day it was hideously bad, blathering "man" talk, which mostly consisted of meandering chit-chat about where the "cast" went on weekend getaways and how stacked female "X" was. And this comes from someone who loved every moment of DonGeronimo and MikeOMeara in DC back in the late 1980s on WAVA.

Kudos to khtk for allowing don the chance to say goodbye to his loyal Sacramento audience. A very classy and unexpected move by the stations management. The decision to end dons show - dead wrong. But giving him the chance for a personal goodbye righted some of the wrong. Gestures like this - unprecedented in radio in 2013 and should be recognized. Just wish don would have taken calls and texts and done a full final show. Don will be fine. He will go on to far greater success than this little am station in Sacramento. I don't think the same can be said for KHTK.
