It's been awhile since I've checked in on KHTZ.

It's been still coming on and off mainly on still Texas mix, but the sound is distorted.

KQUR out of Laredo takes over 94.9 during tropo hours in Victoria.

KHTZ must be on low power then, it's near Victoria.

I think it was 2015, at around 8pm, I was listening to 93.3 and I heard KGSR out of Austin overtake Victoria's KNAL...in Victoria.

Lots of those stations owned by small companies run low power. The No Bull Radio stations for example don't seem to be on fully or didn't a couple years ago. They have 100.1 and 105.9 both around Victoria, and they seemed a lot weaker than other Victoria stations did or nonexistent last time I was able to hear tropo from the area.

KHTZ's renewal was granted. Guess it's not going away.

Did someone else snatch the KHTZ calls? "Hits", and K counterpart to WHTZ (Z-100), seems pretty desirable.

Heard the ID today finally KEON and KJAZ which I know it's been years and years since I even heard KJAZ and they are still off the air.
