Kickstarter for "The David Susskind Show" Preservation

Just wanted to appeal to you for your help in spreading information about my Kickstarter campaign (underway for another month) that is attempting to raise fun for the TV and film archive of USC.

Specifically, I am attempting to raise money for the University’s David Susskind Collection. This collection of tapes (over 200 strong) are of Susskind’s talk shows from the 1960’s, ‘70s and ‘80s. This collection is all on 2” videotape. Two-inch is the dinosaur of the videotape world and is becoming harder and harder to transfer (due to both the fact that it decays and fewer and fewer 2” machines are still operating).

I am not affiliated with USC or with the Susskind Estate. I am just a TV fan trying to do the right thing. ALL monies raised via Kickstarter are going to USC.

Please help me get the word out!

THANKS!

I'd like to add my two cents that this is a worthy cause. It's important to preserve our cultural television heritage before it's too late, and shows like the Susskind program are a part of that.

How many Susskind shows does JLTV, the Jewish lifestyle channel, have? Much fewer than USC? I'd assume JLTV's copies are digital and will be preserved.
