Kid Chris Fired From WYSP

Remember that afternoon embarassment we had to endure on K-ROCK? This guy was the downfall of a good radio station in Pittsburgh. Now he's been fired from WYSP in Philadelphia. (Serves him right!)

From www.radioandrecords.com :

By Alexandra Cahill and Mike Boyle

CBS Radio active rock WYSP/Philadelphia morning show host Kidd Chris and PD John Cook have been fired over a racist song that was performed by in-studio guest Lady Gash on March 21.

He'll get picked up by someone. He works cheap, and the controversy won't hurt, either.

Possibly, but I think his career has peaked.

Are you sure it wasn't Chris Kidd?

By the way, listening to Junker and Crowe today and Guy said something to the effect the former K-Rock personality's show had been stealing bits from them throughout the Pens-Flyers series.

It would have been interesting to see how far K-Rock would have gone if they stuck to music and less to Kidd Chris (or was it Chris Kidd?), Loveline, etc. I figured out at one point that from 6 a.m.-1 a.m. there was more talk than music on that station, which had to contribute to its demise.

That wasn't unique to K-Rock, it's actually pretty common for rock stations anymore...and yes, it may explain why the format does so poorly in a lot of places.

It was Kidd Chris and if there is something all of us agree on it was that he had no talent and his show was terrible. Oddly enough, I talked to this guy once who thought he was hilarious and taped his show. But, I believe he may show up some where again...unfortunately.
