kid/inquiry:

I have a question:
Its not "new" but was "big" and a break thru hit,
(referring to day and night)'s urban mix.
only heard it a handful of times, (on true Urban,
well-programmed, URBAN stations). . . the dance
mix seemed to the choice by many, if not all,
mainstream club-dj's, chr's and . . . parties
(or, 'cheerleader mixes'), etc.

Kid's new song, was avail on-demand, via
time warner cable. so, naturally thinking i will
hear the next "day and night" dance hit, (now)
and be ready to enjoy it by summer...

BUT, the song, cant remember it, (?/but its not memories),
it was some thing else...but it was SLOW, deliberate and
VERY URBAN. . . *BUT* BPM picked up kid's second song,
(or the song he's associated with), (memories), dance mix naturally
sounded awesome....as good as day n night / maybe !?
-
So, is he a true "Urban" artist with a producer that creates dance mixes?
-
Is he a true dance dj, but wants his music on urban stations?( as well)
-
is he just smart - and knows to create both, dance and urban mixes?
-
it is safe to say, both audiences ( urban / dance fans) like either one mix or the other...

any one want to take this one?

Now that I think of it, 50 Cent should try the "new" electro-pop dance style because after all, he seriously knows how to make his flows sound very nice , especially his style of melodic flows and raps. Imagine if Dr Dre applied the same amount of creativity and work with melodic sounds and beat arrangements into uptempo style instrumentals as he did with hip hop. I believe there are so many people out there with unique potential, but it just doesn't happen most of the time due to people just not doing or going through with it for whatever reasons. "Day 'N' Nite" is just a very advanced version of an idea I've been trying to preach for years. I personally would've never guessed a song like that would work, and doubted that it was going to last the first time I heard it. It would be nice if more people jumped on that style of dance, after seeing how successful the "day 'n' nite" single was. I know a few people like Shakira had similar sounding remixes for songs like "she wolf"...etc, but those remixes from those artists never took off. Anyway, I could say more, but I'll just leave it at that for now.

An FYI, 50 announced a few weeks ago that his next album will incorporate some hot dance tracks.

And the same goes for DR DRE.. heard this in an interview with Akon.. He said Dre is getting into the dance sound, but he couldnt tell us anything else at this time.

what does that say about dr. dre - he comes
from (dance) routes, early in his career....
-
then does a *SLAM* commercial AGAINST DANCE for
Dr . Pepper, and now embraces the sound... hmm.

PS:
think 50 is over ?
Interesting.... he seems
to be "collabrating"(?sp)more
than doing his own "hit" music...

no that commercial ( w/out using a real song
cause no one would want their song in the ad)
said, that dance is boring / and - or / its not
a party w/out dr. pepper ( which is true : ) ha ha,
the part about dr. pepper...haha.

"50" is an established one-hit wonder..
"in da club" best song, too bad (for him)it was
early...every thing for him, since has not
been 'that song' and, besides a short
movie career, he seems his best days / behind him.
agree?
