It is kinda hard for me to grasp that krazy kid is doing talk radio, i caught a few minutes of him the other night. Listing to him, all i could hear was nim being on power or kiss. The only thing that i dont care for is that he is trying to make talk cool, and hip, or make hip hop talk.

Dont get me wrong, i have nothing agaisnt krazy kid, i do have respect for krazy kid, i think he is fine as a on air personality for music, I just dont know how well he will do as a talk host. But he is a hell of alot better the that idiot from 9p-12a, yes i do know his name, but i just dont want to type it
 
Ohhhhhh, it's great to have GAYDOS on this board!

The Nurse and I aren't too buzzed by the 7p-Midnite lineup on News 92~three, where Hip Hop used to live. It sounds like once the serious news is finished at 7pm, then it's five hours of kindergarten radio!
 
I think Kid is doing a great job on KTAR. Of course he isn't going to be a seasoned talker like hannity, limbaugh or even the local talkers like jacobs and young but he has great passion for the valley and overall is a very passionate man. He adds a new flavor to what I think is a pretty dull local talk arena. I wish he would get the 1-4 shift so mclband can be put out to the pasture. If Pat has to do radio, move him back to 7p so he and Gaydos can duke it out LOL

So what you are saying is.....Mcbland is too old....Kid is too young?

Just trying to keep up. What is your suggested age range for a talk show host? 43-45?
 
I think Kid is perceived as younger and less informed because of the music genre/lifestyle he has been associated with. Unfortunately for him, he might have a credibility issue on that particular station with those particular listeners. No fault of his own...just that perception is reality to lots of folks.
 
I dont think it helped when he gave out back stage passes to The Cheetah Girls.
 
As long as he didn't make Moms eat catfood to get them (like his successor did) he'll be OK! ;)
