Kid On KTAR

He is actually going by "The DJ Formerly Known as Kid Stevens." I believe he is also using some weird phallic symbol that represents his new on-air name. ;D

I think it's good to hear Kid back on the radio. Makes you wonder what would KTAR programming be like if he never left & joined back up with Ruben on 101.5
 
Kid...or "Darin Damme" as he likes to be called now...has a looong way to go before becoming any type of respectable news talk show host that can be taken seriously. He does not have the typical news talk sound when it comes to his voice. It could work for him (doubt it) or against him. I can't listen to him for more than an hour because his high pitch squeaky voice starts to annoy me. It gets really annoying in his inflections. He's "ok" when it comes to content and opinions and skates by. IMO he doesn't have the mental talent and wit to become one of talk radio's greats. I didn't even think he sounded good in the hip hop format. Didn't he say the other day on KTAR that he hates hip hop and he's hated hip hop for a long time? Isn't that what got him started?

I hate Country music, but every time I crack that mic, I just love that new Keith Urban song! It's only radio.

It's rough filling in on talk radio. No offense to Bruce Kelly, but Darin's doing a better job filling in than Bruce did during his tryout.
