Kid, Ruben and Corina will host a special broadcast Friday Morning (October 9) from 8am - 10am on MEGA 104.3.

All too often in radio dj's are there one day and gone the next. They never get a chance to explain what is happening, why they are leaving and say goodbye. MEGA 104.3 is giving Kid, Ruben and Corina that chance tomorrow morning!

We'll be hosting a Flashback Friday Finale from 8am - 10am. It's our way of saying thank you for 12 years of loyalty and friendship.

If this is the last time we will hear Kid & Ruben on the air together in this market...it's a bit ironic. Isn't Mega located in the same building that housed "The New 103.9, Arizona's Party Station" -- the station where Kid & Ruben began that 12-year run in the Valley?

Thank you for the compliment, but, no, I am not Kid and/or Ruben.

Darin and I both went to Mt. View HS in Mesa, and know each other through a mutual friend. I got the information from his MySpace blog.

I am still very much in the closet, refusing to out myself! ;)

Ya know... KOHS... I too went to Mt View and was in the same class as Darin... and I also use a slightly different name now than I did then.

I listened to the first 30 minutes. They were having fun doing Flashback Fridays. They thanked Mega and Alex Santamaria several times for letting them have two hours. They said that it was a pure business move. The stock market (as we all know) has been going crazy and CBS Radio made the decision to cut costs. Kid, Ruben & Corina all did not have any bitter feelings and said nice words about the PM and the on-air staff. They wished they could have had one more day on KZON so they could say goodbye to their fans but understood why management wouldn't let them (cue Inetta the Moodsetta). They quickly talked about all the radio stations they have been on in the Valley. They didn't sound bitter or mad. They were laughing as normal. They said things could only go up from here. I didn't hear about any future plans.
 
But what is the point of letting them go if cbs is just gonna hire another morning show???Dumb dumb dumb

KZON will suffer big time for this!!!They make clear channel look brilliant. Cbs radio in phoenix that is

Did that have anything to do with it???

Hopefull sometime soon they will blow this sad excuse of a station up in smoke!!!Put anything else on KZON anything!!!
 
Kid and Ruben are talented but they were getting killed in the ratings by John Jay and Rich on KISS. My take is that they've gotten too old for the target demo. They aren't in tune with what is important to their listeners. I tuned into Jamz a couple of weeks ago in the morning and Kid was discussing politics! Unbelievably out of touch with their target audience. Sad to say, I know, but the CHR audience wants to hear the latest celebrity gossip/celebrity interviews/true confessions (all the stuff John Jay and Rich deliver) and could care less that we're selecting a new president in a couple of weeks.
 
Kid needs to get back to the talk game at KTAR. Ruben, not very entertaining and Corina, well maybe she can get a shift at movin or mega
