Kidd Chris is hinting at a possible radio return?

Rabble rabble better not be in Philly! rabble rabble immature drivel rabble rabble obscene racist rabble rabble I WANNA HEAR PEARL JAM IN TEH MORNINGS rabble rabble.

Moving on, Chris changed his website to the aforementioned image with a reversed soundclip of him reportedly saying "I don't know what's gonna happen...You never know where we're gonna end up...I can tell you this...the return of the Kidd Chris Show will happen.", then a computerized voice saying "Shall we play a game?" followed by the opening notes of Motorhead's "The Game" (the Show's theme song). He also added two pictures to his Myspace, both reading "K1DDCHR15" on a black background, though one image is oddly long.

As to what it means?
Who knows.

He got fired for playing a racist parody song and then he puts a graphic on his website of him hanging on a burning cross.

Cross burning? I find that more offensive than the racist song. Is anyone complaining about this?

One might complain, but it's not gonna get him fired a second time. Maybe it'll prevent him from getting another gig, but I doubt it since whoever hires him next does so with prior knowledge of the "Schwoogies" song.

Now, he's just another crazy racist jackass on the internet. Dime a dozen. Can't touch him for the burning cross.

i dont find anything offensive, unless its about christianity. but the use of the f word, and stupid stuff like that aint a big deal. KC was funny, which is more than i can say about most other mornign shows.

The picture is yet another example of how Kidd Chris is a pathetic Stern wannabe. Remember Howard's "Crucified by the FCC" picture? It was edgy back then. Now, it's boring. The fact that it's being done by an unemployed jackal makes it even more boring. I'm sure Kidd Chris will be announcing his exciting move to Channel 154 on XM soon. He'll be able to say anything he wants and no one will complain (because no one will hear it).

I watched carlos mencia last night on during prime time on comedy central. His 30 minute show was more racist in any 10 second clip than anything that kidd chris said himself.

Here let me cry about that whahhhhhhhh.

I am looking foward to Kidd chris's return. I am hoping it will be on sirius!

I would think Satellite move. But can either one afford to pay him?

Is the question "Can they afford to pay him?"
Or, is the question "Will he accept what he's actually worth?" (likely 15-20% of what YSP was paying him)

Someone posted in the comments section that he will be on Sirius starting June 2. Not sure of the credibility factor, however.

Honest question... but when signing a non-compete... does that include satellite?

I know that usually they say you can't work in-market or within a certain distance of the market for a set period of time. Satellite radio reaches the market, but aren't BASED in Philly.

Just truly curious if they'd be considered "competition"

I cannot believe you people, all the racist, anti-white crap on the airwaves in all markets noadays and you are picking this guy apart. I am not a fan of Kidd, but give it a break, when the shoe is on the other foot you liberals always jack up. Just give DAS-F with that morning racist bull a listen, I heard WPHI ripping whitely just last week, WURD no words can describe this racist spewing machine, even the religious black stations always slam whitey. You all are barking up the wrong tree....

I will give it a try if I think about it on my way to work tomorrow. I wonder if you have a specific anecdote that comes to mind, rather than just a blanket racism accusation?

However, just because one host gets away with it doesn't mean all of the others should be able to, if that's what you're inferring.

That would depend on what it said. I suspect, though, that the company would not care where you are sitting, only where you were on the air.

I remember when Opie and Anthony were fired (OK, "canceled") from CBS the first time. They had to wait out their contracts, and then had to sit out an additional non-compete before starting on XM, because their non-compete barred them from doing radio that's on the air in New York. At least that's how I remember it.

I'm no Fan of Kidd Chris but I'm pushing the big 40 and may be out of his demo. If you talk to a male 20 something they love the guy. I'm not sure how his female or 25-35 numbers are but there is a market for his immature antics when it comes to those 20 something males.

It's hard for anyone, let alone a borderline shock jock, to get good numbers when the target demo has a -17% intab/return. PPm results Men 18+ had a hard time either remembering to wear it, turn it on or download the days results.
Therefore almost 20% of the Kidd show (and anyone else targeting that age group) lost a huge chunk of ratings. I'm sure he'll surface somewhere that fits.

Failure of a portion of the demo to wear the meter might affect 6+ or 12+ share, and it might affect rating in the demo, but it would have no effect on share in the demo. When looking at the percentage of a number, the size of the number doesn't affect the results unless the people within the demo are disproportionally listeners of one show over others.

Even for ratings, don't they re-weight the results for things like return data from a particular demo that's lower than they expect based on the meters out there? If so, it wouldn't affect his ratings unless his listeners tend to do it more than other people in the same demo.
