Kidd Chris leaving S.A. soon

From All Access:

INFINITY Rocker KSRX (102.7 K-ROCK)/SAN ANTONIO morning man KIDD CHRIS is leaving, soon. Can we expect him to stay within INFINITY?

Meanwhile, PD MARK LANDIS flatly denies rumors printed elsewhere that JACK-FM is coming to his station. "I think some of our competitors wish that would happen. But I do need a killer morning show, now."

Lets face it, Kidd Chris is the only thing K-Rock has going. As for format flip....unlikely. Why invest time and money on two stations that will likely be sold or traded.

It really doesn't make sense considering you can pick up Bob-fm out of San Marcos just fine in S.A. That would be a dumb move on KSRX's part.

I would think hiphop might be a good choice, but instead of playing the same top 20 songs over and over and over again, maybe they can add new music & mixin some old school hiphop over the weekends.

can't blame him for leaving

I can't pick up BOB very well once I get south of 410 or west of Vance Jackson. Besides, BOB's playlist has been shrinking lately and as a result, the station has lost some appeal to me.

It would be great to have a San Antonio-based BOB/JACK station with a large playlist and a local signal.
