Kidd Kraddick Comes to Mix 96.5

With Houston this big they can't have a local show on mix?

Obviously they tried it a couple of times, and it didn't work, unfortunately. So that's why they are trying something new.

Weird station is named Mix, not owned by Clear Channel and has Kidd Kraddick.

Funny you should mention that. It was a Clear Channel station up until about 2 years ago. Clear Channel got bought up by a private equity firm (the firm also owns Univision radio in Houston) and as part of the sale the FTC made them sell 2 of their biggest signals in Houston. So CBS got Mix 96.5 and Mega 101. Sweet Deal for CBS.

Has an out town syndicated ever made big numbers in Houston? Moby tanked, two tries with Mr. Stern produced zilch. Maybe some sydndicated sports shows have done well.
I don't know. Bet Mr. Booker feels great since that booted him and kept Ms Maria.
That Houston CBS Houston cluster seems to be in a bit of turmoil, is KILT FM still rated in the book? I don't hear or read anything about them. Is Mr. Mason still running the Houston operation from Dallas? How's that working out?
