KIDD KRADDICK coming to HOUSTON January '08...

YYYYEEEAAAHHHHH!!!!!! finally even though sam molone aint that bad Kidd Kraddick is so much better were did u find this out?

Guys, you gotta let this go. Why would Mix change any part of the existing brand? Do you realize that once you flush the format, there is no guarantee that the reincarnation would out-perform that the current KHMX.
I know the Movin/Kiss/X/Insert Slogan96.5 rumblings have come about, but it actually costs CC more money to flip it without a sure return on the investment. True, Mix does not win in many of it's key demos, but it does exist well, and bill well. Remember that KTBZ is down the hall, and is most likely not looking to lose any of it's 18/34-25/54 numbers, male or female.

As far as Sam goes, HoustonRocker2 is right. Sam cost money, but Kidd is uber-money..and not a guaranteed winner or ratings biller in the market vs. his price. If Sam was gettin the boot, we would be reading about it by now.

Speaking of KTBZ, CC would save beaucoup bank by dumping Rod Ryan in favor of Dallas-based Lex & Terry (another CC syndicated property), who have made it no secret about their desire to get into the Houston market.

Right, because L&T are doing sooooo well there.... ::)

Remember a few weeks ago several CC Houston stations did not get switched over to the new holding company, KHMX, KKRW and KPRC. 'IF' these are the stations that they are gonna sell, it would make sense to put Kidd on Mix, less $$$ for them to pay Sammy and Mickey-Boo...

Yeah I know they make them some money, but in the end Kidd is probably the way to go for them....

If CC's looking to save money, what does that matter?

NO WAY 96.5 will be KISSED. The MIX plays main stream, no rap krap or hip hop. KISS tends to sound very hip hopish or urban. If the MIX changes to that, which I doubt, that will be a huge mistake.

Who says it's going to be a CC property?

Remember, Cumulus LOVES to use Kraddick..............

You're right! Its time for the annual (or semiannual) contest, "What will be the next format on 97.5?"!
