Kids' WB!

With the CW coming this fall, what will happen to the following shows?

Johnny Test
The BATMAN
Pokemon (Advanced Battle, etc.)
Yu-Gi-Oh!
Loonatics Unleashed
Xiaolin Showdown
Viewtiful Joe

I just wonder if the CW will scale back its Saturday AM programming by only 3 hours with only "E/I" related programming? If so, I would hate to see these shows disappear.

At this time, the plan is to continue to have five hours on Saturday morning.

Sorry...I know this is a little off-topic however, Man I loved Kids WB when it first came on. Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Freakaziod, Earthworm Jim, Hysteria, Pinky & The Brain. Basically the 2nd Golden age of Warner Brothers animation. Once they started adding action and anime cartoons it all went downhill from there. Once they dominated the lineup I tuned out. Such a shame.

You got that right. Some of those cartoons predate the WB network though, particularly Tiny Toons, which I think was around as early as 1989 or 1990.<P ID="signature">______________

Thanks guys, now "We're tiny we're toony...we're all a little loonie" is back in my head again! I went through pure hell tryin' to keep it out! (LOL)

I wish Animanics would come back...and why exactly is it that Slappy squirrel never got her own show?

I believe there is still a plan in place to keep Kids (place name here) running for the same 5 hours on Saturday...

And to be honest, I believe the programming will be relatively the same as it ever was -- with its affiliates getting E/I programming on their own dime.

With WB programming the block, I don't see any interference from the CBS half of The CW -- especially since the main CBS network has their own E/I-friendly DIC block, which replaces the Nick block this fall.

Interesting. Will DIC still provide a syndicated block as many stations rely on that to meet the E/I requirements?

Kids WB will remain... and the plan is even to keep the "Kids WB" name -- kinda odd, since the mother network is gone, but Warner Bros. wants to hold on to the branding...
