Wow! Marv Sawyer! I worked one summer at KNGS circa 1965, and Marv was the engineer way back then. That's getting close to 50 years ago. He deserves a well-earned retirement by now.ki6bkj said:No working phone at KIGS either cannot get ahold of Marv Sawyer either this is strangemofocat said:No carrier from Hanford on 620 for several days now. On another note I noticed that Pierra Broadcasting is credited as being owners since sign-on in 1948. I remember Golden West Broadcasting as being the owner when I worked there. How long has the Pierra family really owned the station?
I guess I was way off. A little research shows that in the 1960's KNGS was owned by Central California Broadcasting: "A John Cohan station". I don't have time right now, but maybe later I can do some more research and find out when the Pereira family took over.KBOS1965 said:Correction: PereiraKBOS1965 said:Wow! Marv Sawyer!
