KIHT Amboy

It looks like Point Five's application for long-term license renewal was dismissed. ( I though they had until May 2023 to get their act together but apparently not.) The station many serves scropions, jack rabbits and driver along with desert travelers.

The cause: Too much off-the-air time.

There may be a missing puzzle piece somewhere, but the long-term renewal application certified that there were no FCC Violations during the Preceding License Term. I believe that is considered incorrect.

The FCC says the station did not serve the public interest, convenience and necessity during the license term due to the extended periods of non-operation. I think that would fall under "violation".

PS: I just looked up Amboy on Wikipedia. It looks like it has a population of 4!
