KIKK this morning

The KIKK sign-on this morning wasn't a top of the hour ID, it wasn't CNN news, it wasn't Howard Stern...it was the middle of a country song. My first thought was that it was whatever that station in Nashville is that's on 650, but it was WAY too clear. Then it was revealed it was KILT-FM. Turns out it was just a mistake, and Howard Stern magically appeared in progress at about 7:17am. Between 7:10 and 7:15 there was some dead air a few times, so I was hoping they were working on something. I was still scared. It really got me to thinking about getting Sirius if I was that freaked out about missing just a regular old Stern show.

"that station in Nashville" is WSM, a heritage Class 1A station and home of the Grand Ole Opry for decades!! 50KW omni directional into a 1/2wave (actually 190 degrees tall) tower....it is a blowtorch across most of the Eastern and Midwest US..

Time to get Sirius...Stern may go off Infinity early before his contract expires...and his Sirius channels will be hotter than anything he has done in the past (but it will be as much fun? After watching his movie, I was somewhat numbed to any more profanity, etc...if he doesnt have to bleep it on Sat radio, will people get bored after a while? I gotta admit watching his show on E doesnt do anything for me...hmmm washing out the women's areas doesnt help either ;)

They're down to only about 40 shows left, with lots of money to still be made by Infinity. I think he'll stay till the end.

No. It's going to be the same show, just without everyone having to censor themselves constantly. I mean, if you don't like the show now, you're probably not going to like it then, and if you like it now, you will like it even better then.

I loved the movie, and occasionally would watch the E! show when I actually had cable/satellite, but once I heard the full show on KIKK, I totally got hooked. Speaking of which, the E! show contract was not renewed, and his new TV project is on cable On Demand. Supposedly all of the old E! shows will be available to view uncensored On Demand fairly soon, and then new shows will be available once he's at Sirius.
