KILT-AM jock from the 70s

Who was Captain Jack? I remember him, he was my favorite jock when I was a kid (in my single digits). Im listening to an old aircheck of KILT from The Houston Radio History website (http://vasthead.com/Radio/radio_works.html). Where is he now? Did he stay in Houston after KILT flipped to Country? I feel like I've heard him since KILT (not as Captain Jack), his voice reminds me of Hollywood Henderson formerly of 93Q.

Speaking of that aircheck.... if you forward to about 47 mins into it, is that a young Loc Siebenhausen that Captain Jack is talking to on the phone?? The guys name is Loc and it sure sounds like him.

That is Rick Candea. Rick went on to be the long time PD of KILT-FM. Under his direction, KILT was the #1 radio station in Houston. After leaving in 1995, he took time off to help raise his young daughter. A few years ago he went back to work heading up concert bookings & sporting events for the Houston rodeo and now works for Bill Young Productions coordinating concert tours for major acts all around the country.

YEAH RIGHT!!!! ;D
That is Locke and that is too funny to get him before he made it to the radio.

KILT - what an interesting mix of Top 40. I started listening to KILT FM about this time, right before the flip to country.

I need to dig up some of my tapes and try to transfer them to the computer.
