KILT AM now on KKHH-HD2

Just a small notice for folks with HD radio.

Seems like KILT Sports Radio 610 has followed KRTX-AM and KTRH-AM and is now at KKHH-HD2. I guess they were working on the stations at senior road today since I did notice KILT's HD was off today. The sound is not all that great, but it does beat the AM radio reception in my area. Also, whoever worked on it left the synchronization way off for KKHH and KKHH-HD.

While on the same topic, KLTN's HD is off again this evening. They were off a couple of days ago the whole afternoon. Seems like they have their handsfull at Univision at this very moment.
Another thing, I did noticed that a lot of digital hash has been bleeding over to KJOJ-FM near 290 and 610. Kinda worrisome since some proponents of HD radio want to raise the power even more.

Thanks "oldjohnny", but could you please let me know the frequency of KKHH?

I appreciate the tip and the follow-up answer.

i wish they would stop wasting FM HD channels because thats what AM HD is for

Actually, simulcasting AM on FM-HD is a good thing. What else are you going to do on HD2 & HD3? Add a bunch of music stations? In 610's case, if you have a listener in Spring, Kingwood, Tomball or The Woodlands and they have an HD Radio, they could be able to hear the station 24/7, rather than only during the day.

Very true since AM HD at night is not very reliable. Also having music on subchannels will only make you loose listeners. I know that every time I listen to KHMX, I am always only listening to Digital Energy.

Once and IF they do the power increase and if it works where I am I'll check out FMHD more often.

Well, that didn't last very long. KKHH is no longer broadcasting KILT-AM.

Also to add, This afternoon, Univision has both KAMA and KLTN's HD off. KLTN seems to be, or has been, on their aux Xmitter.

Maybe they were just testing the HD2? I know at Hot's launch they claimed Smooth Jazz 95.7 would return on HD2 in May...but I think CC/KODA beat them to the punch with the HD Jazz format.
