Just had a thought...Kim Douglas should go to Sunny 104.5 during the Christmas season. She could laugh her way through Jingle Bells:

sad that ms kim cant keep a steady on air address, she is basically the woman presence to allow sexual INNUENDOS. She adds nothing to the program and we all know she has calluses on her knees from her job interviews

Thanks for that post, Kim, but there is no need to get your feathers ruffled. You're the one who has had all of these gigs (and still has one today, I might add).

yeah right, I totally agree. If Kim Doug-a-lugga was truthfully all that, nobody would be sounding on her. she might be someone who has enough personality to talk "between the records" but as a side-kick she does not add enough to the conversation outside of making agreement statements and giggling and talking about panties (which is not a bad thing for her to do. And yes, Kim is typical of any of the philly air talent, bouncing around from one station to the next all within the same market.

Hmmm. She HAS a nice job? PAYING outstanding wages?

Does this mean she pays Infinity outstanding wages in order for her to be on the air? Oh Ok. Now I get it! The only way Infinity justifies torturing us with her constant and annoying giggle is for her to BUY her time on the show?
Well that must be it! Infinity is SELLING time on the Barsky show in order to compensate for the listeners it is losing with the boring and pointless banter to which we now find ourselves succombed on the dial.

You are correct! She HAS a nice job! I would like to make the money she must be making to be a cackling hen for 5 hours a day. She deserves A LOT of respect! I agree. Do you know anyone else who has ever been PAID to add absolutely NOTHING to a radio show the way she does. That is certainly respectable. BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE ON THE DIAL IS DOING THAT! It is unique to say the least. Creativity! Hmmm.

Perhaps her colleagues respect her for collecting a paycheck for NO reason...it is out of pure jealousy...but behind her back there is almost no doubt in my mind that they must agree with me. How could anyone with an impartial mind disagree?

I won't even comment on your unfounded assumption that I am under employed or jealous...That is pure speculation on your part and simply untrue! I am stating MY opinion on her LACK of substance and for you to make that assumption is moronic!

You should lay off of the bottle this early in the morning.

I have heard worse laughing and giggling by the token female on radio morning shows in various markets including Philly..
Kim acutally adds something...She actually did entertainment news on the point..
I don't listen long enough to hear her doing it now on WYSP middays..

I think Nancy Tolino on the Point with Barsky's show added next to nothing to that show.. She didn't even talk much the first week.. I think she did weather or traffic..or something and found stray dogs..LOL

Kim is really listenable to me..
All talent bounces around in radio.its part of the business..
Making snide comments about her job interviews sounds more like professional jealousy to me..

I agree with you. Kim DOES add something. All I know is that she not only has lasted a long time in this market, but she has shown a lot of versatility. She worked in many different music formats, plus she has also done traffic and news, and now talk. How many people can say that? I think people on this board need to give her credit. She is obviously very talented and versatile.

I repeat: Give Kim time to develop her strengths on a station that rushed this FREE-FM "format" on the air. If you really want to cast aspersions, cast them at Infinity...the bozos responsible for rushing this half-baked "format" on-air before they had a solid game-plan in place.

Any person who is as versatile as Kim...Hot AC, Country, Traffic, Talk...must have some pretty good chops; everyone who has worked with her or has employed her has nothing but exemplary things to say about her.

Those who would denigrate her either don't know her...or, are jealous of her.

You know no one is forcing you to listen to YSP..

Try listening to Wired 965 morning show with Male Host " Big Mama" and his two females who came from who knows where..One he found working in a bar and is dating..
I tried their show a week and found it unbearable..

You will think again about putting Kim Douglas down so hard.
By the way what are your credentials?
 
Regarding Kyle's response

Look who is talking! Kyle-Jeff Campbell-Ragnarok-Valkyrie holds the world record for nasty, bitchy, catty comments about local air talent and station management on this board. Apparently he reserves for himself the right to decide who is fair game for critcism and who is not. Valkyrie is an out of work DJ now doing traffic (despite his complete lack of qualifications) for an also-ran traffic provider, which provides a haven for out of work DJ's. Kim Douglas worked there, however she is now re-employed. Kyle-Jeff Campbell-Ragnarok-valkyrie is not re-employed. He feels free to attack those he does not like (like the Geator), but nobody is free to offer even the mildest criticism of those he "likes."

While I don't agree with the opinions various people have expressed here about Kim Douglas, I find it ironic that Kyle is calling others "jealous" and "under-employed."
