No, different companies

And she is HORRIBLE, nothing added to the show except a cackling hole with a chirp chirp of annoyance.

WYSP is owned by Infinity.
WXTU is owned by Beasley.

So, how did she get to go to this show? Was she fired from XTU or did she quit?

So basically, everyone who has ever been on a Barsky show is on this one as well?

Where is Sherri Lee Stevens? Where is that Tony guy that was a producer on Y100? Come on, BARSKY NEEDS YOU!

:)

Oh, Hell No! Beasley broadcasting owns 96.5 and WXTU.
Infinity owns 94.1 WYSP

You are absoultely correct. but besides the persistant cackling, she also say Uh-huh alot!. Kim douglas adds nothing at all. She is there because of her name and her reputation as having been bounced around the makret too.

Hey on the other hand, I need a job too. If all it takes to ride on someone's coattails is to sit there with my mic and laugh and agree with the show host, then hell I can do that too, If kim Douglas can do that and make a career of it, then so can I.

C'mon' Guys: Give Kim A Break.

I really have to jump in here and say a word or two about Kim: she's a pro, she's a really nice person and she's a classy individual. She'll do just fine at Free-Fm when she gets her own space and sets her own parameters.

Lumped in with a bunch of Animal House adolescents who think saying "pen*s" a lot on-air is cool, I thought she sounded more embarassed than like a giggle-machine during the yukfest about midday today.

Any of you who really know her or have worked with her...and, I have...know that she is gonna do great. Good hire, Infinity!

Re: C'mon' Guys: Give Kim A Break.

Everytime someone sticks up for her, it's someone who has worked for her or knows her personally. And I think that's very nice. And I'm sure she's a very nice person and she sounds like someone whose company I'd enjoy.

But we're talking about radio and--nothing personal--she's radio death. She brings things to a screetching halt. Not personable, doesn't sound comfortable... She just doesn't make a connection. Again, it's nothing personal but the people who are making these comments are right.

Re: Kim Douglas...nothing gained

No you can't. Kim is a talent with a name in this market. She may defer to Barsky too much for her own good at times, but Dude, you can't even carry her headphones. So don't compare yourself with someone who's worked hard at what she does for years.
You just come off sounding like a total dope with a post like yours.

Correct, Kim doesn't make any connections between 2 guys talking. the thought process just stops when she chimes in with Uh-huh or some agreeable laugh. I don't know why she is there, Barsky and Vinnie don't need her, she NEEDS them.
I hear her and cringe when I hear her vapid comments

BOTTOM LINE HERE: Women dont work on male oriented shows! I actually thought Barsky was ok on MMR with Vinnie and Ben. On 965 he sucked because of the "holes". IT doesnt matter who you are talking about, be it Kim Douglas or Robin or whoever, WOMEN DONT WORK ON MALE ORIENTED SHOWS. Stick to the Q102s of the world.
