Kim Leoni - Medicine

Our CHR did well with What hurts the most, and we have been playing Faded for awhile, but its just not taking off.
 
Well, I dont know about everyone else, but i will be adding Kim Leoni, as well as Morgan page FT DeadMau5-The Longest road this weekend,, Hopefully at least one of those two songs will stick and we can once again be considered a dance friendly CHR,,, and even though we arent a Mediabase or a Monitored market, I think especially with our streaming it may influence other PDs,, I know that the KKCK 99.7 PD is always asking me for song suggestions, but i can only go on what sounds have worked for him in the past, without knowing his markets Demo's and History i cant tell what dance records will or wont work.. I had been playing it safe for awhile cause I didnt want the station to switch to the Dial Global Hits Now format,, so all we did was add the syndicated Nudge at night show evenings,, and he is really funny and upbeat,, I think for stations that are unmaned after 6 or 7 PM, this is a good show to get... Now if we can get Party Playhouse to air on Overnights,, Im still working on that BTW,,.. The new Host is Jackson Blue, and he sounds alot better than Romeo in my opinion, and the program seems more Dance friendly now as well.....

Well Im gonna try to lie here and pass out now, but i have a feeling they are gonna wake up as soon as I fall Asleep and then Ill be passed out most the way home after B-96 fades out around Lowell Indiana.....
 
Wow, no one feeling this song? One of the best dance songs this year.

It definitely worked for Pulse and the few dance formatted stations we have here.

If it can tap into a Z-100 in New York (or any CHR station in the country for that matter), that would be the goal.
 
If you wanted to hear Kim Leoni on CHR "again " should have been the one. When I was on Z889 this was the number one request for over two months...I still spin it at the clubs I work for and it gets a huge response, I tried out Medicine and it hasn't caught on for me. Again could have been a radio hit if it was pushed.

and John not once but twice Kim Leoni was supposed to call in on my radio show<then on friday drivetime) and after confirming with me through e mail she didn't call in or answer the number she gave me after I promoted her interview....She may be nice to work with but thats the kind of irresponsibility that keeps dance artits down...when you get a chance to be on the radio you should take advantage...she did seem nice though. Im sure Brett told you about it
