I'm way over that Newsmaker line. I change the station every time they start it.

On todays Kimmer show he said that about 400 clear channel program directors were in town. Said that they're all going over to the Braves game tonight where they have all had their food and beverage orders pre-ordered already. Kimmer said this is perfectly in line with the way cleacr channel treats their program directors where they get to make no decisions for themselves and the stations they "run". Kimmer said they'll each have a hot dog with mustard and a coke and a smile and be happy with it. Which leads me to wonder. If a clear channel PD cannot call their own plays from the huddle and must have all decisions come from the big clear channel chief in the sky, then what happens to the PD if a hire is made that doesn't pan out? In other words if it is Hobbs or Del Core or whomever that gets to make this GST morning call and it blows up in their face...who gets the blame. Bruce Collins the PD or those who made the decision in the first place? Do tell some clear channel minion out here in radio land.
