I do not see how this article says that Kimmer is going to be canned, I see this as probing to the rationale behind all of the sackings and what it may mean to his show. The current speculation/rumor is that these are moves to piss off Kimmer and cause him to quit to avoid buying him out of his contract. I've actually enjoyed his show quite a bit over the past few months and I see it as an improvement without the newsmaker line.

It's obviously just a matter of time - at least for the show in its current format and time slot. If he were to stick around, I think mornings -and a bit more seriousness from him - might work.

Yes. I never said the Kimmer was leaving. I quoted Kitchens thinking that could happen but Randall didn't give any obvious indications that he was cutting out the Kimmer. Then again, even if Randall is about to do it, why would he tell me?

A bit of advice from someone who worked at WGST: Kimmer,the sooner you leave, the better you will feel. You won't believe how good life can be beyond the "Building of Death."

A well-produced local show is probably what he's talking about. And it would be a nice change of pace...there's only so many ways you can approach talk from from one dominant ideology. There's not much to lose from trying something different...libtalk's staying power across the country to date has proven that.

Kimmer's act is tired and old. WGST is tired and old, and really needs a complete face lift. Radio Stations always go thru changes and this station needs to be completely torn apart and rebuilt. But I think an FM move would help. Put this station on FM and do away with the AM. The signal is just lousy unless your inside Atlanta's perimeter, and as far as news WSB has them beat every book, so what does it matter anymore anyway? It's not nice but its geniune truth. Ive stated this before but here goes, Two ways to go, Oldies music, Or Sell it ! The signal itselfwould be a embarassment to me if I owned it ! Lib talk in atlanta, Sheesh.
