King James on WZAK

Urban A/C 93.1 WZAK aired Lebron James press conference ( or whatever that was ) last night. Do you think a music station (WZAK) should had aired this press conference ?

it was on WZAK, WGAR, WMMS, WAKS, WMJi, WMVX, WQAL, makes sense.

I just wish stations would cover Presidential elections like this, ya know serve the public?

Don't forget about the AM stations, like WKNR, that ran the show as they are an ESPN affiliate.

And yes, people have their priorities skewed. The President, making a major policy speech, couldn't even hope for such all-encompassing coverage.
Whatever happens professionally to Lebron James, win-lose, it won't really change any of our lives. We still have to go to the same job or school for the forseeable future. We live in the same house/apartment/trailor. It's not going to get any bigger or fancier if he "wins it all"... His life is enriched in a number of ways, the fans lives are enriched only for the short time spent yelling "Hurray - We win". And then we enrich the rich ones more by buying T-shirts and other items.

John, I can't agree with you more. Just that today's parade of vitriol helped me forget some of my problems while providing me with entertainment. And when Triv returns from vacation, it will be a parade of people sucking up to him because "LeBoob" turned his back on Cleveland, just like he predicted, making him Nostradamus for a day.

I understood WMJI and WAKS airing the debacle, due to the Indians/Rangers game on WTAM taking top priority. It was produced as a WTAM special with Mike Snyder and Andre Knott. Didn't realize all of the other CC/Cleveland stations picked it up as well.

What was most irritating to me was that He Who Shall Not Be Named acted and set this up just like a Presidential State of the Union. Among other things.

I agree with you guys....Isn't it only a game??? Same in our neck of the woods when the Big Ben thing that blew up a few months ago and now nationally all this Linsey Lohan, or whatever her name is stuff! Pure junk to get wowned up about. We as a country need to keep our eyes on more important things, raising our families, being great parents, helping those in need...investing time in church ( for those who believe like myself)and doing our best to keep politicians in check. Sports is fun, but should be a slight diversion from the cares of the day...not the full scope of our day. All that being said, Being a Steeler fan I truely hope the Browns step it up this fall... I will really enjoy a more competitive division this year....and Cleveland fans will have something to cheer for! Oh back to topic...Yeah...good to see WZAK covere it....Did WELW have any coverage?

Part of it is due to the normal slate of actual news being SO bad and SO divisive. Unemployment, oil spills, budget deficits, severe tax increases, government spending itself into oblivion... sports IS supposed to be a catharsis. It is LePunk's fault that he took this to the fullest extent and made it all about himself.

Triv's vacation couldn't have taken place at the worst possible time. I betcha he really wanted to be on the air yesterday.

And no, I'm not holding my breath on the Browns THIS season... I expect another 5-11 or 6-10 season as the now finally proper rebuilding will take place, and the good players they took in the draft (save for McCoy, who needs to spend the vast majority of the year on the bench). Maybe they shock the hell out of all of us and have a magical season. The potential lockout of NFL players next season may also throw yet another monkey wrench.

Also, 48 days until high school football returns!
