Speaking of LockJock. Sorry...he was great; Police Blotter,et al, but admit it--he was a Lar Lujack wanna be. The sarcastic, acerbic delivery was Lar's! Only one of 'em's in the Radio Hall of Fame. It's the wowie kazowie, what a fun deal this is guy---LL!

That Superjock Larry probably created the classic Seattle type of CHR sound of the '80s. Lujack's influence can be heard still in a lot of the veteran jocks of Seattle radio.

You mentioned Charlie Brown. He was a great personality on his own. Don't think he was trying to emulate Lujack. Answer to your 'anyone else...I forget.." Can't remember his name, but he worked PM drive at KING in 70's or early 80's and I swore I was listening to Lujack(kinda). Maybe someone knows. Could've been in those KING reunion photos. I'm glad you said 'veteran' jocks may have been influenced by Lujack, '(as Lar would say)'cause there ain't no personality in today's jocks.' If you want to hear Uncle Larry live today...in his 60's still with that famous
acerbic delivery, but with voice cracking a little: http://www.realoldies1690.com/main.html
Tom Murphy and Scotty Brink do shows as well at the station. Unfortunately, the station doesn't even show up in the Chicagoland book.
As Larry said at the recent KJR reunion on KJR-FM...paraphrasing..'ya know, I was good back then (referring to the 1960's) and I still am!'

i noticed that one of the jingles in that montage sounds oddly like one of the jack jingles.
