Kingston KKK Radio Station Rumor

A friend of mine has spoken occasionally of a rumor he heard years ago (and says he read about) that concerns a supposed Klan radio station in Kingston. As it goes, the station was just over the Market Street Bridge, on the north side.

One part of the rumor has the station being taken over and moved to Nanticoke as WNAK. I don't see that as being accurate, as Bob bought an existing operation, although the previous owner might have been the person who did it.

The other part of the rumor says the FCC took the license away when the Klan connection came to light.

(1) Has anyone heard this story?
(2) Was there any truth to it?
(3) Or was it based on something else and the Klan connection sort of worked its way in through the years, much as Madelyn Murray O'Hair gets dropped into every rumor surrounding religion on tv.

My friend doesn't fall for things and I've come to pay attention to what he says. He is smart enough to ask me to look into this.

WKKK, according to a listing on this board and on "100000watts.com" has a cp for that callsign as a change from WWWN in Oakville CT. Not sure if this is for real. Unconnected to that, WKKK also stands for "Women of the Ku Klux Klan."
