Kinston's 1230 WLNR Back On?

I caught an FCC app that the station resumed operations around March 1, anyone know what they're doing these days? They've been on a on again/off operation for the last 6 years, formats I recall have been urban gospel, Spanish language and ESPN sports.

Last time I scanned through the AM dial, they were still silent. I'll have to check it out. Not seen anyone up there since the urban gospel crowd moved out. I briefly worked there in the early 2000's when it was ESPN radio.

I stand corrected. 1230 has returned to the airwaves with a Spanish language format. Rode by the station yesterday. However their landscaping is awful. Grass is half as tall as the building. But at least it is silent no more. Heck if they would program a real "oldies" station like NCT used to be, I'd listen every day.

Checking on this station 4 years later thanks to a websdr, today sounds like a simulcast of sister WLLY 1350 with southern gospel/brokered religious programming. FCC database has them limping along on various STAs for years.
