KIOO 99.7 drops classic rock for Classic hits

KIOO 99.7 is now playing a mix of classic hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s, R&B and Rock, in the last 20 minutes they played "Earth, Wind, and Fire" ,"Boston", "George Benson", and Sarah McLachlan.
 
KIOO 99.7 just repeated the same "Earth Wind and Fire" song "September" and has mixed in Country, so it's looks like they are stunting and may have a total new format soon. My guess is a South Valley version of The Beat 103.7 and Mega 97.9.

Well today they are back to normal, maybe somebody at Buckley can explain what they were doing last night.
 
An engineer doing equipment tests playing around with the music, Maybe? I have listened to the station four nights this week while down in the Kettleman City area. The Alice Cooper show is interesting to listen to and it was on Friday night. BTW Q-104.5 is a good station to listen to while over on the coast in San Luis Obispo. Up and Adam in the morning is a cleaver little morning show especially when he has the clowns on his show! Happy Birthday too Adam!

That could be it, it was after The Alice Cooper Show, I heard it after midnight for about an hour and turned it off.

Q 104.5 is a cool station, I can pick it up here on my direction antenna most of the time, another good station on The Central Coast is 93.3 KZOZ.
 
prob didn't get closure from the network to return back to local programming... whatever was on the sat. was just going on the air.

95.3 The Beach on the Central Coast is also a good rock / classic hits hybrid.
