They sound like they are getting along to me. I think the "Minifield" is an inside joke. Are they glaring at each other or something? I'm going to have to watch NESN.

Chad Finn believes that Dennis is what drives the mean attitude and digressions from sports talk. You can tell when Callahan works with somebody else. He is much more interested in talking sports and less angry. Gerry is still writing and he was good enough to write for SI about 15 years ago.
 
Was just watching a video on CSNNE from Uno Sports Tonight w/ Felger, Tanguay, and Kirk talking Red Sox and the "sellout" streak. Gary says, jokingly, that Kirk is "close, personal friends with Larry Lucchino" and how he was on the D&C, or as he said to Kirk, "your show today" and Kirk laughed and said something like "yeah, he was...and I almost got to talk to him too. So close!" And all three had a quite a laugh at it.
 
The Minihane vs. Everett(the caller) jousts are gaining in vitriol. I don't think this is staged. I expect Everett to play the race card any day. Everett has been in my top 5 worst callers for years. He joins Steve from Fall River, Danny from Quincy, Jack from Lynn, and Joey from the North End. Actually I could probably come up with a top 50 worst caller list. I know it's talk radio, but I think the "celebrity callers" were a large part of WEEI's undoing.

I must admit that Minihane has grown on me. I was not a fan when I first heard him a couple of years ago. He doesn't seem intimidated by D&C at all. As a matter of fact he sounds like he enjoys prodding them.
 
Minihane vs. Everett wednesday was epic! Everett is a one trick pony. I grew tired of him and Steve from Fall River years ago. Of course these "celebrity callers" were part of EEIs down fall. Also, the complete distain for anything hockey didn't help. Holley had a bit on the midday show, Holleys hockey minute, i think. It was, for all intent and purposes, just a chance to mock Boston hockey fans.

I'm glad Minihane has been interjected into D & C and I hope he slaps down more of the useless callers.
