Actually, it's not new. KIRO 7.2 has been around for awhile over the air, and Comcast had it for short time a couple years ago, but then removed it, and now has added it again to their lineup. For most of the day they just show a live picture of their Downtown Seattle or Sea-Tac tower cams, along with repeats of their newscasts, albeit squished down from 16:9 HD to 4:3 SD. Sounds like they have bigger plans for that channel though, similar to what KONG TV was airing about 12 years ago. Cool to watch some of those old shows again, and I think they should also show old re-runs of local stuff, including the J.P. Patches shows (whatever is still in the archives, and that was all way before I was even born), and maybe some of the short-lived "John Report with Bob", which came after Almost Live was cancelled from KING-TV.
