KIRO 7 Chris Legeros Passes

I grew up watching Legeros report every night on KIRO 7 Eyewitness News, and so did countless others. What a loss. RIP and condolences to his family, friends and colleagues at KIRO-TV.

Here's what Steve Raible had to say about the loss:
"This morning we lost one of the truly “good guys.” Chris Legeros was as gentle a soul as he was a dogged reporter. The thought of KIRO 7 without him pains us to the point of tears. But Chris would be the first person to make us smile. The memories of the devoted husband, father, and friend to all will comfort us. And he'll remain our very own Spirit of the Northwest. God keep you my friend."

He was a legend. I remember watching him as young dude in the 80's. He just got better. One of KIRO's longest lasting reporters (and he anchored), of all time. RIP, Chris.

Very sad news! I remember watching Chris back in the 80's. I remember checking KIRO's website a couple of years ago and thinking, "Wow, Chris is still there after all these years."

Thoughts and prayers to his family and colleagues at KIRO.
