I was in the car listening to the debate last night on my way home. I had on 97.3 KIRO FM. You know, the NEWS * TALK station. With the economy the way it is, almost everyone I know is fired up about the upcoming election. It is estimated to be the largest voter turn out in years.
After the final comments from both candidates, I must admit I was fired up as well. As soon as the CBS coverage ended, I fully expected Dave or Dori to come on and discuss the last 2008 Presidential Debate before the election. You know, invite callers to call in, have CBS experts on, play back clips from the debate and analyze what each candidate said. I was all ready for that, and again, fired up to see if anyone had the same thoughts after the debate as I did.
To my surprise, on came Hawk Talk. ??? HUH ???
I was in shock ! For the first time since KIRO FM came on the air, I switched back to the AM dial. I switched to KOMO where (guess what) they were talking about the debate. Imagine that.
I think it was a huge mistake for KIRO not to continue coverage about the debate. I for one, turned the dial.
