Tnx for the Arbitron info that you are allowed to post, djdan. Now that I think about itDori can claim to be number one 12+ for June, which was true. He and Ross were also the number one talk shows in the market on AM and number one in other smaller/older demographics. In the prime demographics KIRO is no where near number one, nor are any of the Am stations in town.
70radio said:True..it is local in SLC, but what is the show's actual content/leaning? There's always room for a different point of view, even in SLC, even by a Bonneville owned station that may work in progressive/liberal Seattle, especially when you're targeting a younger demo. I can't say.... having never listened.searadiofreak said:While the KSL show is aimed younger, hipper, etc., it still is local. Not sure how you could simulcast that show in two such divergent markets. (SLC conservative, Seattle liberal would be one hindrance.)
Yes! That is one thing I left out....is it working in SLC??? Maybe the 25+'s will listen to talk from 7-10P?? The jury has even been selected yet!searadiofreak said:Interesting comments. Will it work in Seattle? A bigger question, is it working in Salt Lake? Numbers have been falling for KSL despite the simulcast on AM & FM. Plus, SLC I believe has a larger 18-34 population ratio than Seattle does.
Will 18-34's listen to radio from 7p-10p? And will they listen to talk? Jury is still WAY out on this one.
HASN'T
