KISM needs a new PD?

I see Carol Dooley is gone from KISM 92.9 Bellingham and the SAGA corporate website has posted an opening for the PD position.

Did she leave the area? During my brief tenure at KAFE, unfortunately I never did meet Carol. ???

Funny, I was just asked today if Carol Dooley still worked at KISM and I said "Well she should, she's one of their most popular jocks. Maybe she's came down with something and taking a few days off" She gave a touch of class to classic rock.

Sad that she's apparently gone from 92.9 MHz, but I wish her all the best.......

Why don't you go in and apply for the job? You can boast about listening to Australian and Canadian radio, I'm sure that on top of your top secret solutions :):)) will be exactly what they're looking for.

Well, if they want me, they can leave me a message on this board. Life's good right now and I'm in no hurry.......

An opening on All Access the other week said she was heading back home. Not sure the reason but good luck to a classy pro.

bongwater and bambi in the morning at 92.9, has a nice ring to it, in addition to your PD duties. you can make sarcastic jokes, and mock seattle corporate cookie cutter McRadio monopolies, and bambi could be a giggle girl to play off you. i may tune out bob rivers for that, as long as the music programming was kick ass as well BW.......... but seriously, as i recall, KISM was actually a nice swell album rock station in the early, and mid 80's, then took a format breather, and returned later in the mid and late 90's, when it was known as "independent rock". i actually wore the sticker on my truck for a few years(rare for me, as i dont endorse much). i understand when the format adjusted after aprox 1999 or so, to its present classic rock tight playlist, and more peppier caffienated jocks, the ratings actually improved. i talked to several night jocks there at the time and they werent too happy with the changes. MD was actually making some tastey music decisions, and rotating some pretty good new rocknroll/blues during the "independent rock" days. guess that stuff dont work with a musically dumbed down listenership.

Thanks, but I'm not a morning radio person. I actually prefer overnights because night people are my kind of people. Full of mischief when no one is looking. I'd take calls all night from people, seeing what they're getting away with.....

KISM itself has been through some incredible changes from AOR in the '70s, early '80s. Then Modern Rock (1983-84) CHR (1985-1992), AAA (1992-1999) And Classic Rock (1999 to present), all while keeping the same call letters.

I do enjoy the entertainment found here.
From the time I spent listening to KISM, Bong might be the perfect
selection!

Speaking of crack ups, gotta love the hand wringing over the 104.
