10,000 songs in a row. That repeat every two hours!!! I heard Lisa St. Regis on The Breeze this afternoon. Looks like she survived the axe. As I am sure she is voice tracked, just like KISS FM was. Plus she voices many iHeart stations up and down the west coast
Tony Sandoval is back too, it was weird hearing them play soft ac music. I was waiting for them to mess up and say 98.1 Kiss FM.
So, did "The Breeze" play any Prince songs this morning? 'cause you know Kiss-FM woulda been all over that. KFOG, somewhat surprisingly, played 2 hours or so of the late great Purple One. (tho' I'm told listeners had to suffer thru Pinfield's stories about Prince).
KIFM in San Diego is a softer more traditional AC and the latest 6+d has it #1, and despite the music skew, is now in the top 10 in 25-54.
Similar things have happened with WFEZ in Miami and the adjusted WDUV in Tampa.
David the San Diego 98.1 FM station got rid of Soft AC Today and became sunny 98.1 FM in San Diego

According to this link 98.1 San Diego has changed their playlists to resemble KOIT's current playlist.
Obviously, they did not think they could do what Cox has done in Miami and Tamp, which is to make the format enticing to 25-54 while at the same time sounding unlike the traditional AC stations.
I'm now wondering if 98-1 The Breeze will flip to all Christmas music come this November?
KBRZ Calls are taken on FM so...
The beauty of voice-tracking it - if you mess up, you can fix it before it goes out over the air. I'm glad they held onto Tony Sandoval. In this age of mostly personality-less DJs, he's always stood out - especially on his Sunday oldies show. Last I heard, but St. Regis and Sandoval were voice-tracking a number of other stations, so it makes sense (dollars and cents) for iHeart to keep them at 98.1 as well.
