KISS 104.1 WALR

Can someone give me the 411 about this radio station format?

Is it Urban AC, Urban Oldies, or Gospel?

Somehow, they need to update their music, their music sounds so old.

Also, when do they do Gospel show?

I think it is a great station they play alot of 60's and 70's soul with some 70's disco thrown in, and they have a blues show Sunday afternoon.

They may have Black gospel Sunday morning, I am not sure though.

In addition, 104.1 Kiss 104.1 has the only Blues show on Atlanta commercial radio every Sunday at 4:00pm.

KISS 104.1 currently plays "Old School R&B" which is the Urban Oldies format. They were an Urban AC playing a mixture of new and older R&B until 2003 when sister Urban station 97.1 JAMZ was born. After 97.1 JAMZ died, KISS format stayed Urban Oldies. The competition, GROWN FOLKS RADIO 102.5 had a similar Urban Oldies format playing "Classic Soul" until KISS decided to go the same route. Now, 102.5 is an Urban AC with a variety of todays R&B and Old School.
