Kiss 107.1 Cincinnati Goes Local In Mornings

iHeartMedia CHR “Kiss 107.1” 107.1 WKFS Milford/Cincinnati OH has gone local in mornings as APD/MD Tiffany ‘Tiff’ Potter took over the daypart last month.

WKFS had aired Premiere Networks’ Brooke & Jeffrey in mornings since December 2016 and The Kane Show before that. Potter joined WKFS in May 2019 as Assistant Program Director/Music Director and anchored local inserts in mornings. She previously spent six years at “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM Boston with roles including Music Coordinator, night-show co-host, and traffic reporter.

Smart move - dare I say iHeart making a smart move.. I have never understood the logic behind syndicated morning shows (except it's cheap and requires no work to air). Stations that want to stand out today need to be local especially in a key daypart such as mornings when you are getting the bulk of your listeners in the cars.

I agree with you and IHeart needs to get the ratings up as Kiss lags way behind Q102 in the morning ratings. I never understood why they dumped local in the morning for syndication either especially with a show that wasn't their own national morning show and was recorded a day behind in Seattle!
