Kiss 108 and the Walk for Hunger

Back in the day, Kiss 108 would broadcast all day on-site during Project Bread's The Walk for Hunger. When Dale Dorman was still there, he would even play walking songs. Anyway, I was at the walk for hunger this year and there was no station presence. No one handing things out, no inflated Kiss Gorilla, no nothing!

I do not know where I am going with this except that it is sad day in radio that stations are not nearly involved as they used to be. :(

Sorry for the double post. The screen didn't refresh when I first posted and didn't think it registered at all.

Thanks Johnster, but where was this? I did not see any indication that Kiss or Jam'n was there at all. I will admit to not listening to Kiss that day as I didn't have my walkman with me.

Both Kiss and Jamn were doing their live remote broadcasts at the Boston Common. I heard Matty and the morning gang during Seacrest's Top40 breaking in with live updates.

Ahhh, they were there, I didn't do much walking around at the starting point at all and didn't notice anything after the finish line either. I guess was so used to them being at Daly Field that when I did not see them, I just thought that they were not there instead.

WOW, the inflated Kiss Gorilla, now THAT'S old school... brings back a lot of memories for me...

I remember back in the day they would have the Gorilla out at the front gate for the Kiss Concerts at Great Woods/Tweeter center... 8)

Straying a bit off topic, you mentioned uncle Dale there... NO ONE could host/Mc a Kiss Concert like Dale could... especially right before the show would get underway at around high noon, with his "Can you hear me??? I can hear youuuuuu...." from behind the curtain... would really get the crowd going... good times, good times 8)

Wait, Kiss 108 did something relevant? Nice.

Kiss 108 has been supporting Project Bread and the Walk for Hunger for over 20 years with tons of promotion.
