The original OHP affiliate has dropped the show after 20 years. They're now airing another mix show on Saturday nights from 7-10 PM. Discuss.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch, my friend. Turn your radio on tonight (Sunday) at 7pm and tell me what you hear.
 
i would much rather have OHP on saturday nights than what i heard last night on "The Saturday Night Mash-Up with the Mash-Up Mafia" it was pretty much crap the whole time. Also, iw ould rather listne to John Garabedian than Kane on OHP.
 
I dont know if I'm 100% correct, but doesnt KISS play Billy Costa's Top 30 Countdown on Sunday nights..but I think I heard OHP with Kane tonight...I'm not to sure though.

I was happy to hear the Mash-Up show hosted by Deirdre Degata!! And, IMHO, Kane is superior to Garabedian, at this point in John's career.

Heyyy bro, I didn't know you were on this!! Top 30 is still on Sunday nights, just starts an hour later. OHP w/Kane from 7pm-10pm, Top 30 from 10pm-1am.


And whoever called the Mash Up Mix crap is outta their skull. That was some of the hottest stuff I've heard in a while.
 
I agree I thought the mash up was a great change from OHP. Kane's OHP targets a younger demo I feel. Just the tempo and his presence on the air. From knowing Garabedian, his voice just translated to old guy in basement which creeped people out. Kane's show might be a better fit nowadays. Garabedian is a great guy but might be not young enought for today's radio
 
I listened briefly sunday night (as i'm more of a 'baka boys' and 'back spin' fan on Jamn)..it threw me for a loop hearing it on sundays...but it didn't sound right...it didn't seem as if there was a conclusion to the phone calls that were aired...usually when i listen to OHP, i usually hear Garabedian getting the last word in..with either a joke or the ol' Garabedian drop of him saying "kiss 108"..there seemed to be no closure, and no post hitting...i've been to OHP party before..where is Kane broadcasting from?..i also hear him mention a new phone number...and the last part of it was something like "kix..or hits" or something like that.
 
once again the bar has been lowered. some of those mash-ups were just plain horrible to listen to. ear bleeding at times, out of key, off kilter. i cna't believe they passed up a nationally reknown, yet locally minded program like ohp for THIS! so much for star interviews, home grown personality, and the pulse of hit music as we know it. and i thought wxks was number 1 in the books (and has been for a long time) with that saturday nights?
 
I think Kane broadcasts somewhere in Florida. But, you can't go wrong with Garabedian the original OHP host! He may be older but I think he deserves a lot of respect.

Ha, I wish I could go check out one of Garabedian's OHP shows. Hey Erica, didnt you go down to his show with JBuff from 92 PRO FM..I saw some of his pictures when he went and I think JOJO was the guest that time. Anyways, just thought I'd throw that out, dont mind me..ha.

Kane is the morning guy at HOT 99.5 in Washington DC (he was the guy who tried to free Bobby Brwon when he had the legal trouble a couple of weeks ago). He also is the afternoon guy at WFLZ in Tampa and he does that show from his house in the DC area...I would assume he does OHP from there, too.

I do think it was odd to not have the closures fire on Sunday, but once they function in the same capacity as the Sat night show, the finished product will be better, IMO.
 
Yes Jordan...I did go with JBuff...i have that pic on my myspace as well.
