Kiss 108 hd2

I just noticed last night (Monday (November 25, 2013) that when I put on KISS 108 HD2, it still states "Matty's Comedy"
Last night, that wasn't on there
"Evolution 101.7" was on there.
Anyone know why they would put that on KISS 108 HD2?
Whatever they do, they better keep Evolution 101.7. That station is on FIRE!!!. I love that station. It's better than "Amp 103.3"
103.3 should've changed to "The Cove" and went against "Magic 106.7"
All in all, I hope Evolution stays for a long time.

I'm guessing when Matty's Comedy made way for Bloomberg Radio on WXKS 1200, they kept it going awhile via WXKS-FM 107.9
HD 2 (which had run "Rush Radio 1200"). Rather than put Bloomberg on 107.9 HD 2, they put Bloomberg on 94.5 HD-2.

My guess is 101.7 has a limited signal area and maybe 107.9 HD 2 might carry it to some areas where 101.7 doesn't reach.
Just turned on my Insignia HD portable. It does indeed say Matty's Comedy. OK they're running ads...now a female DJ is on.
And yes there's the ID: "WEDX Lynn-Boston and WXKS-FM-HD2 Medford-Boston" (I think). So it's not a fluke or anything;
apparently they decided to put their own EDM (elec dance music) station on.

From the Facebook of Matty's Comedy:
>>plz put this back online i love this station

If you see the signal range for WEDX at radio-locator that could be one reason for the switch. They want to take 101.7 further
for the people who own HD radios (who are far outnumbered by those who don't even know what HD radio is.)

My guess is this is to help get the EDM format to reach further. Or (remote chance but who knows) maybe they plan to change 101.7 to something else and are planting the EDM on 107.9 HD2? Don't think it will happen but if you hear country or whatever on 101.7... (IIRC EDM debuted on 101.7 Dec 20 of last yr)
