I'm not kdding, CC has elected to bring back the former CHR/Pop via 92.1 HD-2. I've heard the usual suspects ie Kelly Clarkson, Kayne WEST, Beyonce, Ciara, 3 Doors Down, etc etc. You'll remember 92.1 was originally KISS FM until CC moved Rhythmic outlet KTBT(THE Beat) to that frequency.

Of course, CC lists this as adult variety on their HD-2 stream list. Then again, is anything on that list correct?<P ID="signature">______________

Buddy, adult hits to me don't include rap or even a lot of the R&B stuff. Then again, adult hits usually don't feature very many if any currents.

Show me one Jack FM that played "Check On Me" or "Gold digger". I'd love for you to find just ONE.

Well, I don't see anything "Adult" about them playing Laffy Taffy(they are doing that right now @ 12:07pm Pacific Time.

Ok, well, Laffy Taffy is adult subject, but when we say "Adult" we're talking about 25-54s. I haven't met one person in this demo that would like Laffy Taffy unless they're freaky.<P ID="signature">______________

I'm in the 18-24 demo and I think its one of the worse songs of the past 10 years.

There's so many other songs (rap, hip hop, pop, rock) that are tons better.

This one is just yuck

even my sister who likes anything she hears on the 2 CHR outlets here hates the song.

But whatever it charted well so I guess they can get away with playing it.<P ID="signature">______________

Hey Man--

I see that you are plugging away at our decision to bring back CHR/Mainstream to the HD2 channel of our signal. Yeah we did kill off Kiss FM, for good reason. And now that HD2 allows for 2 separate radio formats on one frequency thus allowing an operator to operate what equals to be almost a complete separate radio station with almost no overhead. Now wouldn't it make sense to you to allow yourselves the opportunity to go after a compeditor on two fronts, especially when it comes at very little to no cost?

As far as the list on the CC website, it was wrong from the beginning, but if you dug enough to find that, you could have dug enough to find the press release that we put out there, which will give you more details about our market specifically. You might want to look into it.

Oh and I think I should put my hand up for this one too, I was the first to officially add this record in the country and also the first station to put into power. This record among 10 others this year that we broke which went top 10, including three #1s. We must make alot of bad decisions.
