I think the move was a plus I mean when they started no one would have thought they would some day be "head hunted" for a job....that's always a good feeling to know people in the biz want you. However, I don't think that show would be what it is if it weren't for Jason, he really drove that show.
I know alot of people liked Gavin and sometimes he was way tooo opinionated for a morning show IMO. Kelly, although easy on the eyes IMO didn't really seem to "get it" at times, was a bit to flakey. But did you ever listen to them when they had run of the show when Jason was on vaca. It was like listening to two people do a college radio show who talk way to much and force the listener to tune out.
Somehow though when they were to gether they jelled and that show worked like a well oiled machine...they kept the #'s up they had interesting topics and very entertaining bits and segments...I also enjoyed when they would dig on their Cumulus rival.
So I tip my cap to them they put together an obvious marketable show and are taking as far as it will let them. The real proof will be if the Sacramento community will embrace them as much as we did here in this area, have to wait till May14 to find out.
Gave a listen to the new team on HKF this morning, sounded ok, I guess. At times the breaks seemed rushed and his sidekick seemed as if she just met him at 5am this morning. But I digress
