Alright, what the hell is going on?

It's announced that they've hired Kannon from WRDW / Philadelphia for afternoons. Due to stuff in Philly, he can't make the move. Now what?

They hire Nina Chantele out of KZZA / Dallas for middays? Wha... don't they already have middays covered with Smash and Nikki? Is Smash off the air? If so, why not just give Nikki 10-3, the new afternoon show 3-7, and then nights 7-12...? I'm so lost.

I was able to listen to KISS for a while earlier this month. The potential for greatness is there, but the station is confused and has been for a while. There's no consistency to ANYTHING about them, and the music needs improvement.
 
Smash is the Kiss MD, and it is my understanding that his shift is largely VTed.

As for this girl out of Dallas, I agree, where is she? Not on the radio? Usually when they announce a hire, the new person is in immediately. Her jock page is up at Kisschicago.com. Does she start today?

But if you're confused and I'm comfused, imagine what the listeners must think. The potential is there, but with so many changes... The name (the missing point), constant staff changes, etc., I would immagine many listeners are being turned off.

Then again, McClurg Court isnt doing well in that department either.
 
Cape, a heads up....no more McClurg, dog.....they are over at The Rock (Prudential Plaza) now.

EXACTLY. I'm a radio dork who follows the situation and I have no idea what the hell is going on. How many times has there been some sort of an airstaff change over the past year over there? I've literally lost track. I don't know what the point of hiring another midday girl is, even if she's good, but what they need to do at this point is hire a good afternoon jock (there are a few great free agents right now, B-Dub formerly of WIOQ and J.J. formerly of KDWB come to mind) and stick with whatever the hell they've got.
 
they could hire Brian Middleton - i think he's available, isn't he?
