Kiss/ B96 Mic processing

has anyone noticed the Kiss and B96 mic processing getting worse and worse? It's like theyre in a battle for whose mike quality can sound worse than the others...

all of the DJs sound like theyre doing bad remotes. Is there some new trend in mic processing I don't know about?
 
WKSC has bad processing overall. Mic and Audio. Used to be the best in Chicago. I blame it on IBOC.

B96 just changed everything with their new studio.
