Kiss Country adds Lia

Lia is the Country version of Delilah, first noted this past week. Does this mean Mainline is getting ready to makie a serious run at K99.1 once the move happens, if it does?

Caught Lia's show one time going cross country on Amtrak. She is good very much like Whitney Allen who was on our local LA station but they replaced her with the automated "GO Country Night Shift" so you are lucky to get a live though syndicated show. My other favorite KMGO in Iowa has something called "Iowa's Country Stampede". I'd still prefer a good satellite delivered show to voice tracked automation.

If the 101.5 shift happens, might not they move Country to 102.9. I can't see the present Hot Dayton format being all that big in Urbana which is part of the COL shift proposed. 101.5 should cover Dayton pretty good from the Huber Heights tower that is proposed.

Never heard her... but for the listeners sake I hope she doesn't SOUND like Delilah. Puke.

I've never heard the actual syndicated Delilah show, KBIG here aired a specialized version for 8 or 9 months last year. But no, Lia is not like Delilah except for the single name commonality. I would say Lia's show is very similar to The Big Time with Whitney Allen, maybe a bit perkier and a touch more appeal to truckers. If you're not into ebullient women either one would not be for you. Delilah on the other hand tries to be seductive and Elvira she ain't.

I suppose it makes for decent fill in a previously empty slot. They did have Lee Riley on from 4pm-10pm -- at least partially voicetracked, I would think. They used to have a local night jock but I assume he was let go in budget cuts when Main Line took over.
