Ok this just came down.. its a format that has been a cable succes for over 20 years!.They are going.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ALL WEATHER,and they are bringing in former CNN Chief Meteorologist "Flip"Spiceland to program it.
 
I guess this means there's a 100% chance Kidd will be out of work.

Even though I hate KIDD...that would be a insane format flip. However, it would be funny though...if it was true!

Don't know what the flip is about but I can assure you it's not a format change. Kraddick is not going anywhere, Billy the Kidd not going anywhere either. They will still do CHR. Maybe has something to do with Programming or some promotions stunt. Kiss has too many Billboards, they need to chill the F out.
 
I just read this on Radio online. Cruz, on midday and Gina lee fuentez, i think she's overnights are out and have been replaced by voiceTracking. Maybe that's the Flip..
 
Why on earth would a station spend that kind of money on a billboard, to tease a flip to voice tracking?

And why would the average listener care? Most people trolling the dial don't know the difference between a voicetrack of say, oh, Amy B on her couch or Delilah in her garage... and the real thing.

Bass is right. Advertising via highway is way too friggin' expensive to promote something most people won't even notice.

Redeye is right too. KHKS has made a true mark with CHR in this town. Although most of us thinks it sucks, and others of us wish Kellie Raspberry would choke (just temporarily to stop her inane chatter), Kidd and that station will rest easy on the dial for quite a while. If there was a whisper, Kidd would leave first... or should I bring up the annals of the great KEGL for anyone?! ;D

1.Take about 20 20-ft XLR cables
2. swap them between processors and T1 boxes.

Ok, so this Flip thing comes down to a timeslot change. kraddick of Yea networks stays, he doesn't work for clearchannel; bringing in all the ratings for that station. The afternoon jock, Atom Smasher stays, since that's drive time, the timeslot for him will change, I believe he'll work until 7p.m as opposed to 6p.m. Billy the Kidd will work 7.pm until midnight, as opposed to 6.pm until 10pm. Then the incredible magic of Voicetracking starts. With radio today, jocks especially in music stations don't stand a chance, they have no levrage on management. In the near future, expect this to happen in other stations. Apparantely consultants say that the majority of the listeners don't care much for live jocks, they just want music. Clear Channel being Clear channel wants to make money fast with less spending, and Khks is experiencing the wrath of the geniuses. So Flipping, just timewise.;

You gotta love the "OH SO WISE CONSULTANT". When managment say "CONSULTANTS"... it's the same thing as your mom saying "Becuz I said so". You know they are just saying that becuz they have nothing better to say. CONSULTANTS don't know CRAP! It's been proven time and again. The reason why CONSULTANTS are even EVER brought up... is becuz TOP management can tell share holders that they are going to bring in CONSULTANTS... and these MAGICAL CONSULTANTS can tell US want we need to do. They can SAVE the company. CONSULTANTS are about as useful as BLACKWATER OPS in IRAQ and just as trustworthy.

Ha ha, that flip, It's The Big Money what is that contest is starting at 60,000 and not 30,000 as before. I hate Khks.

Case in point... there is NO CHANCE in getting our hopes up about a corporate power house flipping mid-stream. Well, for the better (see MOViN for a prime example). :mad:

This is just insane, they tell us their flipping then all of the sudden it's some stupid contest that they been doing for a while now. CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!
