I hate to hear about the veteran losses at WBLS but at Emmis owned KISS FM and Hot 97 they let their weekend staff go do to financial woes. Listening to KISS and Hot 97 over the past few weekends. I noticed that I didn't hear any of the parttime staff on the air. I heard Shaila on the air Sat. mornings followed by Raqiyah in the afternoon but I think she was voicetracked. I also heard Big Dennis on Sat. on Hot 97. I was under the impression that parttimers were the last to go during difficult times do to their salaries which are usually less than full timers. Some one enlighten me please about their thinking.

This is happening out in CT also, it is because the full time guys have contracts that haven to be honored, so they will stretch them until they quit or cut the lil guys to save the last bit of money they can
