Seems to me as of late Kiss seems to have lost its fire. First they lose the services of Kid and Ruben and then they lose the services of Chino. Not sure how the new John Jay and Rich show is doing but if you were at Kiss in the PD role, what would you do to sound HOT once again.

I couldn't agree more. Yes I am not the biggest hip hop fan in the world but some balance would be nice. Would even be nice to have OHP on the weekends. The music mix I think is totally off and they need to let Power do the hip hop and then Kiss focus on being more straight ahead chr. Plus with two white boys and white girl in am drive, does that much hip hop really fit in??

I don't know what white girl you're talking about in the am drive - Carrie is not "white".

while i agree replacing Kid N Ruben with JJ&R is a 180, saying the music they play in the morning doesnt mesh is not the point. JJ&R talk 10 times more than Kid N Ruben, maybe not all the time, but their AM show is considerably more talk driven than Kids was so the music played during ther show is almost moot since most people listening to JJ&R are doing so because of content and not music.

ALso, asking for balance on Kiss is dumb, its been said time and time again, wishing for a pure CHR/Main station in Phoenix may be a nice fantasy, but ultimately it wont fly, the audience and demo in Phoenix doesnt call for it so of course Kiss is gonna lean Rhythmic, especially when pure top 40 right now is 75-85% hip hop, because those are among the top selling songs/CDs. Isnt that what Top 40 is? Sure they could find some pop leaning songs that Power wont touch, but the idea of Kiss going 50-50 on hip hop and pop is a dream.

yes yes, basically AZ is too ghetto to have a true CHR? I beg to differ...people are sheep. CC has programmed all the followers to believe that urban top 40 is the only music that matters by destroying independant radio. They have taken almost all the smaller stations over and made them corporate by force feeding the same cookie cutter formats across the whole nation. Obviously record labels are behind this idea which would explain the lack of balance in music today. Long story short, the average listener is unaware of this and just believes that whatever pops up on the radio is worth buying. With that being said, if Kiss would have some balls and try to re-program the sheep to like other types of top 40...it may have some impact on the other supposively CHR stations
