Kiss Tribute to James Brown

Kiss-FM did a very nice tribute to James Brown this morning. I'm glad I was in town to hear it. I enjoyed the listeners calling in with their memories of Brown, especially the lady who said Brown took her bus fare and threw in in the crowd and she had to walk home from his concert, but she still loved him.
Meanwhile BLS was running the best of Steve Harvey. Yawn. Just goes to show you the benefit of having a staff local talent ready to react to the passing of a legend.

WBLS did their tribute the day of James Brown's death, not the day *after* like WRKS. 'BLS's tribute was hosted by Hal Jackson, Guy Black, and Vinny Brown. CBS2 covered it. It's unfortunate you missed it...

Well that would have Christmas day. Folks have awkward listening habits on holidays. I do listen to the Hal Jackson show, but for the last 5 years, if not more, his co-hosts have been carrying that show.
