What the hell?

For the last month or so I get nothing but crappy reception from 99.9 anywhere in town on any # of devices.

What's the deal?

Which town you in?

KISW never had the greatest signal, but it might also be the season change and this pea soup fog we've been having lately. Colder weather tends to weaken FM/TV reception, especially at greater distances-my own layman's observation.

Just a theory .... but turn the radio upside down and then read the digital frequency display. Everything will be explained....!!

No joke, but when I was in junior high, there was this one kid I remember with religious fanatic parents who believed KISW's 99.9 frequency (read upside down) was "proof" the station was run by devil worshippers.....

Maybe it's the signal rebelling against how bad that station has gotten. I'm with the guys at KZOK (read their bios). Remember when it used to be good?

I'm hoping with the likely Stern replacement, BJ Shea, a new era of great radio will begin at KISW. And please, bring back "Seattle's Best Rock" as a slogan? It still has a stronger edge than the wussier sounding "The Rock of Seattle".

Re: Corporate Sucks Still Rock

I completly agree. Bring back 'Seattle's Best Rock' and maybe even the logo. Anyone remember getting the stickers at The Squire Shop and cutting just the yellow ROCK out? I remember as a kid I could not wait to start to drive, so I could get a car and slap a ROCK on the back window.

LOL! EVERY adolescent male/female in Puget Sound, circa 1982 had that same goal. Just as important as the car itself were those KISW rear window stickers-as many as possible.

I always got a kick out of going up in the mountains and seeing "Watch for Rolling Rock" signs where someone had covered the "Rock" with the KISW logo!! Just think ... if we only had those stickers in place today I-90 might be wide open this weekend!!!

A Rolling Rock....mmmmm...sounds good right about now (visions of Rolling Rock beers cascading down on I-90.)

Forget about I-90 being open for long in that scenario as drivers madly scramble to catch as many as they can....

Remember the various parodies of the logo (Rainier Beer had one. I also saw one once back in the '80s-I don't remember who put it out, but it said "PUNK".....)
